Story
My name is Guy Ward I am 30 and I have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. I have had my current electric wheelchair that stands up for 8 years, which has allowed me to live an independent life going to university, make friends and have a relationship and get married. Crucially though the stand up feature (which makes the chair so expensive and not available through the NHS) Helps me with physiotherapy, going to the toilet as well as allowing me to stand up. The chair I have at the moment is starting to fall apart and needs to be replaced. Please help me to raise some money so I can buy a new wheelchair so I can continue to live a fully independent life.
