Story
On Saturday 22nd August we’re taking on the Welsh 3 Peaks Challenge, where we’ll be climbing Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), Cadair Idris, and Pen y Fan — all within 24 hours. It’s a tough challenge involving long distances, steep climbs, unpredictable weather, and very little rest, but it’s something we’re determined to complete.
We’re doing this to raise money for two causes that are close to home and important to so many people:
British Heart Foundation
The British Heart Foundation is a charity that is well known to most people, and one that supports a huge number of individuals and families affected by heart and circulatory diseases. Their work funds vital research, provides support, and helps improve treatment and survival rates for people across the UK.
St Michael’s Church, Penkridge
We’re also fundraising for St Michael’s Church in Penkridge, a historic part of our village that has just celebrated its 800th year. Like many old buildings, it now needs ongoing maintenance and repair work to preserve it for future generations. Most people in the village will visit or use the church at some point in their lives, whether for weddings, christenings, funerals, community events, or simply as part of our local heritage.
This challenge will definitely push us all both physically and mentally, but knowing we’re doing it for two brilliant causes will keep us going every step of the way.
Any donation, big or small, would be hugely appreciated, and sharing the page also makes a massive difference.
Thank you so much for your support!
