Story
Fifteen talented young female footballers from Hackney have worked hard through nine weeks of intense trials, to earn a spot in the Hackney District team. The team is run by a group of volunteers, and survives on fundraising.
Being selected to represent your borough is both an incredible honour and a significant achievement. The girls compete in various cups and leagues nationwide and already making a strong start to their season.
This May, they’ve been invited to take part in the prestigious Girls Football Festival in Swansea.
This is an incredible chance for our young players to compete, build confidence, and create lasting memories.
We’re raising funds to make sure that every girl on the team can take part, regardless of personal circumstances. The full cost of the trip, including return travel, accommodation, meals, local transport, and festival entry, comes to around £400 per player.
This fundraiser is about pulling together as a community so no child misses out on this special experience. Any support, big or small, will make a real difference - and if we’re lucky enough to raise more, we’ll put it towards tour T-shirts and extra treats for the girls.
Thank you so much for helping us make this happen!
