I've raised £4000 to help Warners charity ForBenandSam and to support Jacob Kennedy(Amanda Robinson’s son) with his continued use of a Libre Blood Glucose system

Warners employees Danny Fowler, Kevin Haw, Adam Lees, Ben Issitt and Mark Durno along with 10 friends will be raising money for Warners Midlands chosen charity ForBenandSam and Jacob Kennedy (Amanda Robinson’s son).
The money will go towards future funding for the boys, who were both diagnosed with a rare form of muscular dystrophy known as Duchenne Disease is 2015. The monies raised will also help with the final installation costs of a hydrotherapy pool. The pool will help relax the boys’ muscles, helping them walk for longer.
The condition affects around one in every 3,500 boys and causes muscles to weaken to a point where they will usually need to use a wheelchair by the age of 12.
£1,500.00 of the total raised will be donated to Jacob Kennedy to support Jacob’s continued use of Libre Blood Glucose System.
Jacob was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in 2012 when he was just 18 months old.
The Freestyle Libre system allows a diabetic to test their blood glucose as often as they need without taking the sample of blood. As the sensor is worn on the upper arm it is easily accessible and anyone can take test.
It allows for anyone to catch dangerous highs and lows before they become serious. This means the damaging effects of the condition could be limited.
Each sensor lasts for 2 weeks so it may save over 80 painful finger tests.
