I am going to donate my hair (between 12-20 inches depending on what the hairdresser thinks is viable after cutting off the ends) to raise money for Bella-rose's 2nd heart surgery while she is strong (the NHS waiting list is so long they will wait until she is critical and weak). The hair is going to be donated to The Little Princess Trust http://www.littleprincesses.org.uk and made into wigs for children with cancer and other illness that has caused them to lose their hair.

Here’s a little bit about this baby girl and why I am doing this.
Bella-Rose was born at 24 weeks weighing a tiny 660g at St Thomas’s hospital in London on the 18/06/2017. She’s had a very rough journey so far and is a miracle to be alive.
Life for Bella-Rose is harder than for a baby without her health problems. She’s struggling to put on any weight because she’s struggling so much with the large hole in her heart that’s growing with her heart. She uses all her energy keeping her heart working and doesn’t have any calories left to gain weight.
Having this surgery sooner rather than later will mean Bella Rose will be able to thrive and hopefully get bigger and stronger and be able to breath better and come off her oxygen .
She’s needed resuscitating hundreds of times and chest compressions, has received 2 lots of life threatening surgery for her heart and stomach and other health issues but yet always manages to smile despite having more than her fair share of problems.
Bella-Roses stomach doesn’t work and having to be 24hr pump fed through her J peg via her small intestine ( gut ).Bella-Rose has never had the opportunity to try food and drink. She’s also on oxygen at home and has medication 8 times a day.
Her family try their best to make life as normal as they can and wouldn’t change her for the world but she really does need this surgery.
