Halas Hawks Junior Football Club was founded in 1980 and has been a mainstay for generations of people local to the Halesowen area. Many local businesses and charities having played parts in their history, either benefitting from fundraising or giving something to the club. With the current cost of living crisis, teams are finding it harder and harder to obtain sponsors and funds to keep moving forward, without burdening parents with higher subscription fees.

Evidence shows that young people and adult alike are spending less time outdoors and this is impacting their physical health and mental well-being.

Many charities have seen a decrease in funding over the last few years and some solely rely in charitable donations from the public.

The aim is to help on all three fronts.

On June 17th 2023 a number of Halas Hawks teams will be climbing Mount Snowdon to raise money for the club and causes close to their hearts. It wont just be the players climbing; Coaches, parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles and friends will all be taking on the challenge!

All monies raised will be split equally between the participants own team and their chosen charity

It will also get them out in nature with a purpose of helping others.
