Ramadan 1442/2021

Bismillah.

As many of you will know, the violence, oppression and unjust acts against the Palestinian people have escalated over this holy month. We don’t have to be Muslim to sympathise and support or stand up for the people of Palestine. This is a humanitarian crisis and an international issue.

A few of us In šāʾ Allāh are raising funds over this month and will be walking 20 miles in aid of this cause; we urge you to support and donate.

Al-Makassed Islamic Charitable Hospital has collaborated with Masjid Al Falaah, Birmingham to help provide life-saving treatment to the worshippers injured in Al-Aqsa Complex, Palestine. Masjid Al Falaah aspires to offer support to the distressed, sick, able, and differently-abled persons in order to improve the quality of life for everyone in the community

”The Prophet (peace be upon him) was the most generous of people, and he was most generous during Ramadan,” (Hadith, Bukhari). The prophet Peace be upon him also told is that the ummah is like one body and when a part of that body is hurt, the whole body will feel the pain.

We may not be able to physically do something, maybe not even be able to give monetary donations but In šāʾ Allāh the intention to give and the Duas in these days and nights are more precious to Allāh swt.

Al Makassed Hospital in East Jerusalem treats its patients free of cost. Al-Makassed is the only hospital in Palestine that provides heart surgeries for small infants and kids. All other hospitals don't have either the equipment or resources. With only 57 hospitals for 2.1 million population of Palestine, Al Makassed charitable hospital is suffering from a lack of resources. The hospital receives over 1000 cases daily, in times of conflict and there are only 82 beds to serve people from all Palestine- Gaza, West Bank, East Jerusalem, and also occupied Palestine.

The pious said, when you give to the needy, it is not them who benefit - Allah is making anyway for you to do good deeds, give and have your sins forgiven. Subhan’Allah - Allah is and will always be with the oppressed. He answers their Duas and they will be shaded on that day.
