Halesbury School is a Special Needs School within the West Midlands catering to pupils aged 4-19. The majority of our pupils have Autism, complex communication and cognition learning needs.

Due to limited on-site space and facilities, many of our curriculum opportunities are accessed off-site. These include sporting activities and work-related learning opportunities at a variety of locations. These activities are fundamental in preparing our pupils for adulthood and life beyond Halesbury School, they also allow them to access the wider community and gain valuable life skills.

We have submitted an application to the Variety Children's Charity for a Sunshine Minibus. Once our application has been accepted, the process involves the charity sourcing a suitable sponsor who will provide £35,000 towards the minibus and as a school we have to contribute the remaining £20,000

We are currently spending a significant amount of money on transport hire and this could result in vital activities being removed from the curriculum due to budget constraints.
