I've raised £1700 to add defibrillators to Halesowen North to help save a life in times of need

Asking for the community of Halesowen North to come together to help raise funds to add Defibrillators to a number of locations in the area. Defibs being situated on the outside of buildings in the area would be there in times of need.
Less than 1 in 10 people in the UK survive an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. This has been partly attributed to two factors that communities can change:
- there aren’t enough people prepared to perform CPR when someone has a cardiac arrest
- there aren’t enough defibrillators.
By having a defibrillator in your community and by training people in CPR, you can play an important part in saving more lives.
At the time of this just giving page being set up I have contacted a few owners of properties in the area and I am in talks to hopefully get a defib added to their property. The Swan, Long Lane have agreed to have one and will also put on fund raisers in there pub (when covid restrictions are lifted).
Each defib and external cabinet costs around £1600. This depends on the type of defib added.
