    Story

Sikhi in the west was edging closer to distinction. Jagraj Singh's simple analogies and explanation of Sikhi has allowed all of us to relate a lot more to our Guru's message... And given us all many priceless, immortal resources.

He was, and still is, an inspiration to myself and millions of others. Helping to guide many away from a life of drug abuse and depression. There are many people I have spoken to that have said 'if it wasn't for Jagraj Singh, I would be in prison or dead.'

He gave up his high flying 6-figure city job to dedicate all of his time and money to working for a charity that was working to improve relations between different faiths and sections of society. Working to spread love, not hate and improving understanding amongst one another.

Jagraj Singh, the Oxford PPE graduate, was a shining example to us all of how to live our lives selflessly and to serve the world equally, regardless of any supposed differences between us.

For these reasons, we feel that the least we can do is dedicate this year's half marathon run to Jagraj Singh and his family. As he would work tirelessly day and night without rest, he inspired us to also not sit around and wait for others to do things... So, what better way to serve his memory, than by running a half marathon!

There will be eleven of us running, most of which have very limited running experience... but as we all feel so greatly indebted to the family for the amazing work that they (as well as Jagraj Singh) have done, we just had to do something to help as soon as possible.

As many of you may know, he was aged just 38 and was blessed with a baby daughter just 6 weeks before he passed away. He also has 2 other young children and he did not have life insurance.

The family of such a great soul should be highly respected and be able to carry on his great work without any worries.

To financially support his wife and young children in filling this huge void, please donate generously to this page.

(This page has been set up with the permission of the family. All funds will go directly to the family. If you also wish to run for this cause, please contact us or share this link; please do not set up a new page, thanks.)
