Story

Almost 20 years ago, I gave birth to my first child: a beautiful boy. My baby boy was only 12 weeks old when I was rushed back into the hospital and diagnosed with a life-threatening brain tumour.
Soon after that, I was in the operating theatre fighting for my life with no guaranties that I would make it.
I had many operations and long radiotherapy. The treatment was extremally difficult, painful, very long with many complications but it was successful, I was cleared of cancer. I could be with my baby boy.
I was so happy, my life was back on track, I had another child, a beautiful and amazing daughter. Life was good.
I was very keen to find a job in NHS, to say ‘Thank you for saving my life‘. I found a job in the hospital where doctors saved me.
I’ve been working in the NHS for almost 15 years now and I am really proud of it.
Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with cancer again. I was totally crushed by diagnosis. I have an aggressive Breast Cancer. My life is again turned up side dawn. I have started a cancer treatment imediatelly with a very strong and brutal chemotherapy. It is really tough and so painful, with high risk of sepsis. I was rushed in an ambulance to the hospital already three times. I have been very unwell.
My treatment plan is very complicated and challenging. My cancer is aggresive. I will have chemotherapy, radiotherapy and operations. It is a very long, painful and really difficult treatment. I don’t know how, but I just hope that I will be able to get through it.
I am utterly devastated and scared but still have a will to live. I can’t work at the moment but I still have to pay the bills.
I would like to raise money by walking before each cycle of my chemotherapy which is every 3 weeks, when I am well enough to walk. I hope you’ll sponsor me.
Thank you so very much.
