Halley House School is a state school in Hackney, London which recently opened in a former further education college. As a result, it has limited playground facilities, and the children really need some new play equipment to stretch their minds and bodies at break times. They have already come up with some imaginative ideas for what they would like.
Halley House Hawks are a group of parents of children in year 1 who have signed up to run the Hackney Half Marathon on Sunday 30th April 2017. We are Ashleigh, Chris, Dave, Hugo, Maeve and Seemone and will be covering 13.1 miles of Hackney's streets and landmarks with the aim of raising £2,500 towards the cost of new equipment. We have been training throughout the winter, enduring freezing weather, early mornings and injuries. Please support us and help to make the playground a more exciting place.
