In December 2022 our school community was rocked by the loss of a very well-loved young man. Hamza was a much-loved son, brother, friend and student. Hamza was someone who has been described as the heartbeat of his friendship groups, the star footballer for his team. Hamza personified kindness, generosity and humility and we all miss him terribly.

Staff and students at Sidney Stringer Academy have spent the last few months navigating through our grief and loss. We would really like to commemorate Hamza so that his memory and the example he set, continues to live on.

Staff and students at Sidney Stringer Academy, with the blessing of Hamza's family, would like to fundraise to purchase a headstone for Hamza's resting place. We have been advised that the cost of this will be around £1000 and we wish to raise as much as this as we possibly can.
