On the 28th December 2018, we received the most unimaginable news that would change our lives forever. We were truly devastated to be told Oscar; our fun, loving, energetic 5-year-old, had T- cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Since then, he has recieved a 4-week long rigorous regime of intense induction chemotherpay treatement at Birmingham Children's Hospital to try and terminate the leukaemic blast cells in his blood.

However, on the 6th February 2019, we received even more heartbreaking news that Oscar will need a stem cell transplant as his last chance of battling his aggressive form of blood cancer.

Oscar, and others like him, need your help to have a chance at living a normal, cancer-free life. This can only be possible if we work together to recruit and fundraise for the amazing cause that is Anthony Nolan; they are a charity organisation that helps recruit so many to the stem cell register, so that many like Oscar, get that last chance to live life to the full.

Whilst doing all we can to support Oscar, it has been an incredibly difficult time for our family. His clinical needs have been managed at Birmingham Children‘s Hosptial, which is a long way from home in Worcester. The Ronald McDonald Housing Chairites have been amazing at giving our family free accommodation and support, whislt Oscar has been recieving the care that he needs. And for many other families like us, this charity supports them whilst their children are seriously ill in hosptial.

It costs £40 for Anthony Nolan to add recruit, test, and type a new potential donor onto the stem cell register, so any contribution is much appreciated. Please support other families like us and ensure that they stay together in hosptial. No child should be without their family during a time of need like this.
