While on holiday in crete my partner and I volunteered at bronx familia animal shelter in hersonnisos, crete. The rescue has over 110 dogs, all saved and cared for by ONE man, Nikos. The work he does is utterly amazing, he is just one person and he does this all himself. He has given up everything for the dogs, he has no electricity, none of the 'basics' we have to make life comfortable. He lives in a tent so that he can care for and protect the dogs 24/7. Nikos now needs our help to provide the shelter the animals need for the upcoming winter. Crete gets heavy downpours and the poor dogs get soaked to the bone. His aim is to have solid shelter for them all and better security features for their safety by winter. Even if it is just £1.. It will all help towards the cost of vaccinations, food, construction materials, shelters etc. Thank you :)
