My name is Hannah and I am 14. I have taken on a big challenge, in 2018 when I have finished my GCSE's rather than spending the very long summer break at home I will be going to Kenya to complete charitable community work within villages and towns. The type of work will involve digging trenches to supply water to communities, helping to build homes and schools using MUD! (and other natural products). I will also spend time working on projects to protect the coastal habitats including litter picking. This will be an adventure but it will be physically and mentally demanding but I am excited that I will get the chance of working in and for communities that have so little compared to me (us), whilst working with other young volunteers from around the world to make a difference. Rather than just raising money for a charity and sending it to them I will be to making the difference in real life. So that's why I am going to raise as much as I can towards my trip to allow me the opportunity to put my time off of school before my A-Levels to such good use. I plan on the next year lots of fun fundraising activities and I ask you to support me in any way you can. I'm planning quiz nights, dinner and dances, live music events, sponsored events, Christmas wrapping service and many more things. So please support me if you can.
