Thanks to everyone who has donated so far and also to everyone who has supported my fundraising. So far, I have raised £1800 out of the total :)

I have been accepted on to the Volunteer Eco Students Abroad Program and will be travelling to South East Asia this year. I am now seeking sponsorship to enable me to participate in the program and complete essential volunteer work in Laos.

I will work in conjunction with the Elephant Conservation Centre in Sayaboury and in the local schools for two weeks. I will be assisting the centre’s team in a variety of ways: accompanying the elephants to and from their jungle bedroom, preparing their daily meals, planting banana and sugar cane for their future source of food, and maintaining and building infrastructure such as the veterinary clinic, elephant nursery and viewing platforms. As well as this I will be working within local schools teaching English and working to improve the quality by installing new infrastructure and brightening up current facilities.

By sponsoring, you will be directly assisting with the costs involved in participating in the program. These costs are significant and include hiring local skilled trades people to supervise and assist in the building projects, building materials and donations to local organisations.

I would appreciate donations of any amount, which will enable me to participate in this vital community development program. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me to make a difference donating my time and energy into volunteering overseas this summer. If you are able to help, even in the smallest way it would be greatly appreciated. I am very fortunate and very passionate to aid those who need it in any way possible, so any donations or even messages of luck will be very well received.
