Crowdfunding is the new way to raise money for a personal cause on JustGiving.
Since a very young age, going to study the art of singing and performance at conservatoire was my dream. Having set backs at undergraduate level really knocked my confidence but that niggle in the back of my mind would not leave.
Present day: it has been a few years since I completed my Bachelors degree in Music at the University of Hull and I decided to audition for the Masters courses at the Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music and Royal Northern College of Music. To my surprise, I landed a place at all three and have accepted my offer at the Royal College of Music because of its fantastic facilities, top-class teaching and stunning situation.
Only thing is, studying music at a highly reputable music college in London is not cheap. £10,600 a year for tuition fees (2 year full-time) and average London living costs are £15,000 a year. This equates to £51,200! The figure showed above is to fund my first year of study, therefore half of what is needed minus my first crowdfunding stint which raised an amazing £836! THANK YOU! The government have introduced a masters student loan from 16/17 of £10,000 and I have managed to bag a £2,500 scholarship from RCM, per year. As good as this sounds, it is still is not enough to be able to live, study and sing without dying of starvation.
I want to bring joy to others through the medium of singing and performance, travel the world with my voice leading the way and live a long and prosperous life as a singer! Your money will allow me to study at my chosen conservatoire and eventually become this person. Please help me!
