I have never been athletic or sporty by any means. My abilities were always thwarted by asthma and wonky legs due to Cerebral Palsy. I never considered running as something I would enjoy or be able to do.

This is why running the Ellesmere 10k is going to be an extra challenge. But I'm always determined to push myself.

This year I have been struck down with several chest infections and various other illnesses which made me doubt if I could do the 10k this year. However, once I realised I could do it for a cause I donned my trainers and put heal to the ground and started training.

The other passion I have is children's education and learning. It is of paramount importance in giving children confidence.

Due to the funding cuts, schools have less money to spend on resources.

While I was sorting out the library at Ellesmere Primary School I began to notice a lack of current up-to-date books on some important subjects.

I love reading and would love to pass on a love of reading to the kids of Ellesmere Primary by donating money to purchase some new books.

Therefore I am asking that if you feel able to do so I would love you to sponsor me for the Ellesmere 10k on 27th August. It will be a huge achievement for me to complete it and will motivate me to keep going to the end.
