I am doing a skydive on the 20th of October 2021 with North London Skydiving (PE15 0PL), to raise money for Grace and any essentials that the family may need during this difficult time.

Grace Kelly is the 11 year old daughter of my best friend Vanessa and her husband John, she also has 2 younger siblings.

Grace was due to start at her secondary school on the 27th of August 2021, but following a routine appointment at the opticians she found herself being admitted to hospital instead for an emergency MRI. It was here that the consultants found that Grace had a brain tumour and she was immediately sent to Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham where she underwent an 8 hour surgery on the 3rd of September to remove most of the tumour. Unfortunately, not all of the tumour could be removed due to its location. On Friday the 10th of September, Vanessa and John went to receive the results of their daughters biopsy. They were told that Grace has stage 4 brain cancer* and would need to begin chemotherapy and radiotherapy in the coming weeks.

*stage 4 brain cancers grow more quickly and are more difficult to treat
