Story

Hi everyone. We are raising money to replace a play unit that is suitable for all children of all abilities which includes those with varying disabilities. The unit was removed from the Steven Jenkins Rainbow Playground in Sandown after an inspection deemed it no longer safe and due to lack of funds cannot be replaced by sandown town council. My parents and the local community raised around £80,000 back in 1999-2001 to build the playground in memory of my brother Steven Jenkins who sadly passed away age 6 due to an aggressive cancer. This playground is used by hundreds of people and the unit is a huge loss as you will see when you next visit the playground. We are desperate to raise this money and get the unit replaced. We have had four quotes for units and the cost is around £55,000 including delivery and installation. This is a huge amount of money but we know the public will be behind us and we are confident we can do this!! :) Please share this and give anything you can. You can also pay any money raisedfrom events you may wish to hold into the fundraising bank account- S Jenkins Playground. Account no. 11794221. Sort code 40-34-26. Thankyou so much. Hannah Jenkins & the rest of the Jenkins family xx
