Story
Anyone who knows Johnny and I knows that we both live by the words of Jerry Seinfeld, who in a victory for common sense once declared “I choose not to run". I certainly never have since the days of Ainsdale High School when I was forced to run cross country up and down some very unforgiving sand dunes. But for this hugely important cause Johnny, Taz and I will be completing the Mornington Chasers 10km Regents Park run on Sunday March 3rd, 2019. Dogs are not allowed on the track so one of us will be officially entered and running, and the other will complete the course with Taz at a more leisurely pace around the perimeter. So please please please do donate for this very worthy cause to give my second cousin Hannah a final resting place, after the tragic events of this year. Hannah's story is as follows...
It started on New Year's Day 2018 when Hannah suffered an accident and had to be resuscitated, leaving her without oxygen to her brain for almost twenty minutes causing global brain damage. She spent ten months in a high dependency ward at the Walton centre in Fazackerley, after which she was moved to a specialised care home. Three weeks later Hannah developed pneumonia and sadly passed away on October the 8th, aged 19. Although it was a struggle, with the help of family and friends her parents were able to give Hannah the funeral she deserved. We are now fundraising to give Hannah's ashes a final resting place, a place where her parents and siblings can visit, and that will be the end of Hannah's Journey.
