Story
Royal Family Kids UK is a a one-week residential camp, designed to meet the unique needs of looked-after children and children at risk. As a camp volunteer I am undertaking to raise £300, to cover the cost of sending one child to camp and giving them an unforgettable week!
In 2016, I was privileged enough to be a part of the first UK-based RFK camp. This camp gave a group of incredible kids from South Wales, from a range of backgrounds including abuse and neglect, a chance to spend a week being treated royally! It was amazing to see campers have masses of fun through taking part in swimming, arts and crafts (my personal fave), games, a carnival, a talent show and even a birthday party for everyone! I'm also completely convinced that RFK makes a long-term positive impact in the lives of children affected by abuse, as they grow in self-confidence and realise how much they are valued. If you need more convincing, watch this video of a US camper talking about how her experience of RFK changed her life!
This year will be my third time volunteering at RFK camp, and we're taking the greatest number of campers yet. Please be a part of helping a vulnerable child make it to camp!!
