Story

I‘m part of a committee from Rhiwlas who are fundraising for a defibrillator for our village. On 5th Aug I’m completing the ‘Snowman‘ triathlon - a mountain triathlon in Snowdonia National Park (1km swim, 70km cycle and 10km run) to try and raise some money towards funding the defib.

If someone has a cardiac arrest, having a defibrillator close by and someone who knows how to use it could save the casualty’s life. This is especially important for people in rural villages like Rhiwlas where an ambulance cannot always get to the casualty rapidly. Our committee plan to buy and install a defibrillator in the centre of our village and organise training sessions for anyone who wants to learn how to use it. I’m very grateful for any money you feel you can donate.
