    Story

The UK has one of the lowest woodland covers in Europe and i'd like to be part of that change - i'm passionate about creating new woodland habitats for some of our beautiful native wildlife, a dream would be to encourage red squirrels to be able to set up a safe home within the new native woodland. If i'm able to purchase some upland land then black grouse would be a target species to encourage, as they need scrubby woodland as part of their range. In tough winters they need all the food sources they can get, such as hawthorn berries!

Within just a few years, small songbirds, mammals and insects are able to move into a new woodland area and utilise the safe habitat and food sources it provides!

With your help we can create new woodland that will be a boost to local wildlife, will improve water quality if near to a water course, potentially mitigate against flooding and would be a fantastic addition to the local area.
