Story

As anyone who's watched Blue Planet 1 or 2 may know, the oceans aren't having a good time currently, with coral reefs being particularly badly affected by rising sea temperatures and an increase in the severity of storms and hurricanes. Coral reefs make up less than 1% of the Earth's surface and yet are home to over 25% of marine species and are one of the ocean's most diverse ecosystems. Whilst great efforts have been made to protect these habitats, bleaching and coral destruction are still massive issues and there's still a lot more research and conservation that needs to be done. I could go on about coral reefs for years BUT! this page was made for a reason, so this is the part where I ask for money:

This summer I will be going to Honduras with Operation Wallacea for 6 weeks to collect data on coral reefs and marine diversity, with the hopes that results may help shine light on how best to protect this ecosystem. However, this trip is most definitely not free and there are a lot of costs involved, including flights, accommodation and training, so any donations towards the trip would be the most helpful xxx

I'll also be doing various fundraising events throughout the year, like a half-marathon in April and a long awaited sponsored silence (no crap jokes for a whole 24 hours, the dream!) at some point as well, as well as other things as I come up with them haha

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
