Weʼve raised £1,110 to donate to Inspire North by running the London Marathon

    Story

On April 23rd, just two years on from NEVER running, I'm going to be running my first ever MARATHON (gulp).

As no person surely runs 26 miles (42km) for fun, I'm also running to raise money for Inspire North. Inspire North is a parent organisation for two charities: Community Links and Foundation, a mental health charity and a housing support charity.

Community Links is an amazing non-profit in Yorkshire and the Humber. They offer support for people with mental health issues including psychosis, anxiety and depression, alcohol and substance misuse, complex needs and personality disorder. They truly offer brilliant support for people who are oftentimes going through something life-changing, and help the person on the road to recovery.

Foundation offers support for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, leaving prison or on probation, leaving care or experiencing domestic abuse. Similarly to Community Links, they are there so that people don't have to face their challenges alone.

Both of these charities have been doing amazing work directly with people for decades in the North of England, and I think they deserve a huge shout out! They don't have a JustGiving charity page, so all the money raised here I will be donating directly to them after the marathon.

Please help me raise money for Inspire North; the more support they have, however big or small, means the more services they can provide. This in turn can help save vulnerable people's lives: giving them new options when they didn't feel like they had any options left.

And if you can do that, I'll do the running! 🏃‍♀️

    Thank you ❤️
