Over the next 10 months I am going to be raising money towards a month-long group expedition that I will be undertaking in the Fiji Islands from mid January to February 2020, in partnership with the Fijian government.

Over the course of the expedition, I will be completing voluntary work within Primary schools and Kindergartens in rural Fiji with the award-winning volunteer organisation Think Pacific. Such work will also involve the assistance of vital youth, sports and building projects in the traditional Fijian villages.

Think Pacific is a brilliant organisation with a truly inspiring set of aims. They devote themselves to making a positive impact in Fiji's rural communities through their youth, sports and community projects. Think Pacific works hand-in-hand with the Fijian government to carry out and achieve the National Government aims and targets. It is the unique relationship that the organisation has with the Fijian Ministry that ensures long term sustainability and purpose to the work it carries out.

After attending an information meeting by Think Pacific that was hosted at the University of Birmingham, I felt so impelled to get involved with the life changing work that they are doing. I immediately applied and I am extremely grateful to have been selected to become a part of this exciting upcoming project.
