Story
Our beautiful mum lost her fight to Covid on Monday 4th April 2022.
She was the best mum, wife, sister, and grandma, anyone could have! Mum has struggled over the years with her health, but she never once complained, or asked why me??? She is a real life superhero! She will be greatly missed by many people, and she has left a huge hole in our hearts!
We owe so much to Addenbrookes, and in particular Papworth! We couldn't have asked for better care for our wonderful, beautiful and caring mum! The staff are truly amazing, and we are so grateful for all that they have done over the past years however especially the last 2.5years.
We would love to be able to give something back to show our appreciation to Papworth, in particular Level 4, as this is where in the past couple of months mum has had quite a few lengthy stays in hospital! We would love the monies to go towards making patients and visitors stays more comfortable, so this could mean to donating extra chairs to the ward, too donating a memorial bench in memory of mum and to help make the garden within Papworth to become a tranquil place where staff, patients, friends and family can come to visit to reflect and think. We would also love to plant yellow roses in memory of mum too, as these were her favorite flowers. These are some of the ways that the donations will be spent.
Looking to the future i have decided to start a foundation up in the memory of my wonderful, beautiful, caring and best friend which was and still is my mum! I am in the process of creating some yellow rose pin badges which will keep mum alive in so many of us! So watch this space, I will also be creating a Facebook page aswell so I can keep everybody upto date with the different charity events etc. that will take place in the future! All donations will be gratefully received and will be donated to our chosen charity as a family which is Papworth.
Many Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Lots of Love
Hannah, Russell, Alexander, Oliver & family xx
