Story
I will be travelling to Uganda in September to volunteer in a range of healthcare settings. I will spend two weeks in the following settings and would like to raise funds for any resources needed.
Kumi Hospital, a general hospital with good maternity and child nutritiion units. It was originally a Leprosy hospital and still has some long-term leprosy patients, and a prosthetic limb unit.
Kumi Orthopaedic hospital, a new, private specialist hospital.
Ngora community hospital, a struggling general hospital, and associated with a maternity unit.
Kamuli Mission Hospital, general with child nutrition unit.
Kawempe Home Care, in the city of Kampala, which has a clinic and outreach services for patients with life-threatening diseases, HIV, TB, cancer. They deliver ante-natal care, especially for HIV patients, and family planning services for everyone in their local community.
