In October 2019 myself and a close friend are setting out on a huge adventure to Tanzania where we will be embarking on a huge mission to climb and conquer Mt. Kilimanjaro. Having never done anything like this before it is going be both mentally and physically demanding for myself however i have a great inspiration to keep me going.

I have had the greatest pleasure of knowing Evie for about four years, seeing her grow and be a part of so many peoples lives. At 9 months old Evie stopped hitting developmental milestones and after an MRI an abnormality was found, a white matter brain conditition called hypo-myelination, meaning messages and processing of information are distorted. As a result Evie has global development delay meaning she is significantly behind other children of her age. Evie has hypo mobility meaning her joints are bendy, causing her to struggle to find stability. Evie can become very frustrated and upset when trying to express her feelings and wishes as her cognitive development is delayed and her communication limited.

Despite all of the struggles that Evie faces every single day, she always has a smile on her face and is an absolute joy to be around. Evie lights up the lives around her with her cheeky attitude and love of life. She loves to listen to music and dance as well as give cuddles and kisses. Evie’s mum Rachel and dad Adam are committed to doing everything they can for Evie and offering her everything in order to help her develop and give her the best quality of life they can. So all the money i raise will go directley to helping with Evies different therapies, together we can and will help Evie.

Evie is my inspiration and i hope that i can show the same determination with climbing Kilimanjaro as Evie does every single day, so please dig deep and help me to help Evie live the best life she can.
