Story
For many years both Tara and I have been wishing to volunteer internationally together but have not seemed to find the time due to our A-Level and IB final exams. However, this year as I have just finished my first year at Queens University Belfast and Tara will be on her way to University Arts London in September, we have decided that this summer would be the perfect time to experience this amazing opportunity together.
VesaAbroad is an amazing foundation that allows students to reinforce education within less economically developed and fortunate countries across the world. Tara and I have selected Fiji to begin our volunteering journey as education, health and sanitation are all things we take for granted while this is not widely available for many remote villages across the Island. During our trip we will be working with children in the village school teaching English and basic sanitation, renovating and revitalising the facilities with fresh coats of paint, installing new play equipment and the construction and installation of bathrooms, water catchments composting units.
While we are extremely excited for this, travelling across the world for many weeks is extremely expensive, especially for two students. We kindly ask you for a small donation to help fund our travel and accommodation costs for our volunteering experience. By helping us achieve our dreams you will be assisting the education and health of children in Fiji which will not just be greatly appreciated by us, but also the children.
Thank you very much for reading.
