I've raised £500 to Sponsor Hannah and Anne to run 5k to help fund supported accommodation playroom

The public image of people who are homeless is often adults who are rough sleeping. Few people envision babies when they think of people who are homeless. Unfortunately this is the reality for the mothers and babies we support at Phoenix Place.
Phoenix Place is shared supported accommodation for 25 mothers and babies who are homeless. Being homeless is an incredibly isolating time for parents and babies. With the affects of homelessness on babies affecting their cognitive development between 4 and 30 months. Although we are not able to solve the housing crisis in Bristol we can improve services to help mitigate the impact of homelessness on babies and parents.
We are completing a 5k fun run on the 3nd June 2018 to raise money for a playroom at Phoenix Place. Since both having children ourselves we understand the importance of having a safe place babies and parents can play together. Having fun and developing vital skills such as tummy time, crawling, walking and climbing.
The playroom will have sensory lights, touch panels, Softplay and a cosy reading corner and will provide a much needed space for the parents and babies to play.
We appreciate all donations to this wonderful cause.
