Story
UPDATE: thanks to the wonderful (and lightening fast!) generosity of the local community we have well exceeded the target. James (park ranger James, not me!) has suggested that if we get enough then we could buy a second camera to give to the rangers' team. So feel free to keep donating!
On Saturday 28 October one of Ealing's park rangers found that someone had taken a wildlife trail camera that had been left attached to a tree at Jubilee Meadow (across the canal from the end of Green Lane). This was his own personal property, which shows his dedication to his job. If we can get 21 people to donate a fiver we can replace the camera. It was one of these http://shop.naturespy.org/product/ltl-acorn-5210a/?gclid=CjwKCAjw-NXPBRB4EiwAVNRLKnywAOaJzZKbXSxjQTJYrak6jWSlkUNuQeIPfvagivWocBNkJA9KqBoCX4oQAvD_BwE

7 years agoA long overdue update, and an invitation. Thanks to your generosity we raised a total, after fees, of £210. Thanks to the wonderful generosity of www.naturespy.org, a social enterprise, I've now got two two upgraded versions of wildlife camera, plus memory cards and batteries. The aim is to hand these over to park ranger James at The Fox, Green Lane, Hanwell at 4pm this Saturday, 25th. We'd love to extend the invitation to anyone who wants to come along for a leasurely drink and a chat, especially those who dug deep to helped fund these.

7 years agoA message from park ranger James: "I posted [on Hanwell Friends Facebook group] yesterday with the very slim hope that I might somehow see my own camera again. It never occurred to me that the local community would immediately club together and buy me a replacement! I'm very touched by the kindness you have shown. Thank you. It's a powerful reminder why it's such a joy to live and work in this area. Thank you again, James"

How could I not contribute to a man who does so much work in Ealing Southall and goes well beyond his duties and has such a passion to deliver great things.
