I've raised £100 to funding activities, trips and the cost of British Sign Language courses

Going through the experience of losing my hearing has been pretty tough. Luckily, I was put in touch with Joa who runs Happy Hands. Happy Hands helps to support children and families with deafness and difficulties communicating in the North West.
I started helping out on a Saturday, brushing up on my sign language skills and getting to know other adults and children with hearing difficulties. I was made to feel incredibly welcome. Most adults and children that attend know sign language, which made it easier for me to follow in conversations.
The children and their families have really been my inspiration throughout the whole process of getting my CI. If I could raise a little bit of awareness and money for Happy Hands, I am more than certain it would make me feel incredibly happy and spur me on my road to hearing again. Even if you give a small amount, you will help to fund sign language courses for families to be able to communicate with their child. I know from experience just how costly they are having paid over £1000 for two courses. The money may also go towards the cost of trips and activities for the group. Thank you, Jess.
