Story
Hello, my name is Haroon Tahir and in May of 2017, I will embark on a expedition with a group from my school in which we will travel to the county of Cambodia to do charity work for a poor rural community. During this time, me and my group will stay at a Camps International colony and they are a reputable international charity and volunteer organisation. The charity work we will do will consist of building school, constructing clean water pumps and teaching Cambodian children. I will do this for a period of two weeks and this will be volunteer work. The £2000 will be spent on my visa, vaccines, plane ticket and equipment such as building materials for our charity work. I am doing this as I wish to help the poor communities in Cambodia who have suffered dearly since the reign of the communist leader, Pol Pot who killed 1 in 3 people in Cambodia during his reign. Doing this will allow Cambodians to have a better education and better essentials so they can live their life with more ease. I am not doing this for the benefit of myself as it will be hard and arduos work but rather for the benefit of the improverished Cambodian people.
