Hello :)

In December 2016, I will be going to Kathmandu in Nepal to teach in a monastery. The students I will be teaching are Nepalese monks and nuns of all ages and Tibetan monks and nuns taking refuge in Nepal.

As one of the poorest countries in Asia, Nepal is in need for volunteers’ intent on making an impact on their fellow humans’ lives. Since the earthquake in Kathmandu in 2015, Nepal is still trying to recover. With the help of volunteers like myself, the curious and eager to learn students are able to continue their education. This is an opportunity of a lifetime and I am so excited to go out and help people in serious need.

All of the money will be going towards providing things like reading books, games, souvenirs and stationary to the monks and nuns in the monastery and anything that’s left over will be donated to the Love Volunteer organisation (the charity I will be working with). I am so excited that I have got this opportunity and any donations would be gratefully received. I think this is going to be a tough and challenging opportunity and it will most certainly open up my eyes to the other world out there. If you would like to make any donation, no matter how big or small it would be much appreciated and will allow me to help those less fortunate than us.
