Weʼre raising £5,000 to pay musicians to perform weekly streamed concerts for Music In Felixstowe during the current pandemic and to cover the return to live music.

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
I have been putting on professional concerts in Felixstowe for the past 12 years taking the music to the people so that everyone can have the opportunity to enjoy it. I passionately believe that music should be accessible to all and not just to a few privileged people.
During the current pandemic I am putting on weekly streamed concerts on Facebook for everyone to feel part of our musical community. At the time of updating this appeal we have out 55 streamed concerts. These are initially streamed on our Facebook page on Wednesday lunchtimes and thereafter available on that page and also on our website www.felixstowemusic.com
Starting in June 2021 I shall also be streaming our live concerts for free to keep people entertained and feeling included, whether or not they can attend. The concerts cover all genres, classical, jazz, blues, chamber music, rock, you name it!
All musicians are paid having lost all of their income for the foreseeable future. This streaming series has also been set up to help musicians at this time.
I intend to carry on with streaming of performances for most of the year as a lot of our audience are elderly and frail.
