Newlands Foodbank - Celebrating 6 Years of Supporting Our Community 💚

Help us make Christmas special for those who need it most.

This October half term marks the sixth anniversary of Newlands Foodbank, and we are incredibly proud to have been able to support our local community over the past six years.

As we celebrate this milestone, we are asking for your continued support. We know that these are extremely difficult times, with the cost of living continuing to put pressure on so many households. Sadly, the need for our help has not gone away.

Every week, Newlands Foodbank supports a minimum of 35 through food parcels. This includes families with children, pensioners, people living alone and those who are working but still struggling to make ends meet.

Through your kindness and generosity, we provide food to help people put a meal on the table each week. This includes tinned goods and food generously made available to us through reduced-price items from Morrisons and Marks & Spencer.

We believe that nobody should have to face the worry of putting food on the table alone, and we are committed to continuing to support those who need us.

Help us spread some Christmas kindness

Over the next month, we are raising money to help us provide our much-loved Christmas hampers to the people we support.

Alongside essential food items, we want to include some of the little festive treats that many of us look forward to at Christmas, but which can feel like an unaffordable luxury when money is tight.

Our Christmas hampers include items such as mince pies, Christmas cake, custard, crackers, chocolates and other festive treats.

These may seem like small things, but they can make a real difference. They bring a little joy, help people feel included in the celebrations and allow families and individuals to enjoy some of the simple pleasures of Christmas without the added financial worry.
