Story

A year ago close friends were put through a parents worst nightmare when their gorgeous little girl got diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Endless trips back and fourth waiting for a diagnosis was unbearable but thankfully they received some good news that their little girls tumour was benign. Unfortunately this is something that will remain ongoing for them as they continue to monitor as she grows. A horrible cloud to have hanging over anyones head. Due to its rarity, only 50 children in the UK, its diagnosis can be a long and painful process, like in this case. It was only by going through a private consultant that the condition was recognised but in many cases this wouldn't be an option. More research and awareness needs to be made and I hope that I can do my bit to raise money so it can help prevent other families going through such a horrible long ordeal.

I will be taking part in the Southend colourthon half marathon on 7th July 2018 to raise funds for HistioUK
