Story
Harry suffers from a rare genetic disease called FOXG1.
This disease means that Harry is unable to walk, talk and sit up. He has very poor eyesight, regularly suffers from seizures, is unable to feed properly, he has issues with sleeping, involuntary movements (or 'jerks'), excessive crying and he is unable to communicate.
Harry's parents only recently got a diagnosis for him, and he is only the 212th case in the world to have this disease, which means there isn't much information or awareness.
I wanted to start this crowdfunding to support the family and their journey as Harry turns from a baby into a boy. He is three in a few months and is already very big for his age.
We would like the funds to buy the following items:
A specialist car seat
A sleep safe bed
An Interactive floor sensory system
These are items they 'need', and hopefully the council will support them in making bigger changes to the house to help get Harry around.
I'd also like to see if there is any extra funds to buy things that Harry can enjoy too, such as special sensory toys and lights to go in his room.
So in light of all this, I'm asking if you can spare any money, small or large, to help us buy these items for our little Foxy boy.
Its unfortunate that items for the disabled are very expensive, so I suggested we start this campaign to not only raise money, but also awareness of this rare disease. So if anybody wanted to support Harry or his disease (FOXG1) by gaining sponsors for any sports activities you may take part in, then we would also really appreciate this.
Here is the link to a site that will tell you more about this disease: https://foxg1.org/about-foxg1/

7 years agoHarry's Mum, Dad and family would like to say a huge thank you to you all for everything you've done for this little guy! We're so close to the 50% mark, which is something we never expected. We now have enough money to get Harry a car seat, and we almost have enough to get him a new bed! Please keep sharing the page and spreading the word, we'd like to reach our target by Christmas, and we'd also like to raise more awareness around FOXG1. Thanks again everyone xx
