In December 2025 I will take on the challenge of climbing Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.

Im hoping to raise funds for the amazing charities Mind and a local charity “Out of the Blue” in memory of Suzy Beames.

Suzy was the kind of person who radiated joy. Her laughter, kindness and her spirit bright.

Even on a cloudy day she was smiling, but beneath that radiant exterior, Suzy fought a silent battle with mental health. It was a battle she faced with immense courage and determination and would help others to navigate their own struggles.

Suzy believed in the power of conversation, sharing stories and making sure no one felt alone in their struggles.

That’s why in memory of our dear Suzy, I am raising funds for two incredible charities that embody Suzie’s spirit: Mind and Out of the Blue. Mind provides vital support and information to those experiencing mental health problems, while Out of the Blue works to raise awareness and support for charities such as Winstons wish, Dragonflies, The Beachy Head Chaplaincy Team and CALM (campaign against living miserably).

Every contribution, no matter how small, will help carry on Suzy’s legacy of kindness, hope and compassion. It will help shine a light in the darkness, reaching out to those who may be struggling in silence, just as Suzy did.

Let’s honour Suzy’s memory by coming together to create a world where mental health is understood, supported and prioritised. Thank you for your generosity and for helping us keep Suzy’s spirit alive.
