Story
Hello and thankyou for taking the time to help us!
We’re back again! Dads Reunited vs Stratford Town FC VETS football game, in association with the NACCC (National Association Of Child Contact Centres). & Families include fathers.
Dads Reunited is a group of parents who joined together in 2020 with one thing in common. Sadly we have all been in and out of the court system for access to our children.
Since 2020 we have created sporting events and social media advertising to raise money and awareness for those who are in desperate need of help & support.
For the second year we have partnered with the NACCC (Registered Charity Number 1078636). NACCC is the only charity in the UK dedicated to providing safe spaces where children can meet the parents they don’t live with. They oversee around 350 contact centres across the UK, run by a network of nearly 3,000 volunteers.
Contact centres in this country play a vital part for parents to regain as much contact with their children whilst costly court proceedings are taking place.
For some families, contact centres are the only method of contact available and without them, children may go without seeing their parent for months.
Sadly, a significant amount of these services are chargeable of £75-£100 to parents meaning without funds they may have no contact at all.
The NACCC have kindly agreed to keep all the funds raised through Dads United fundraising solely for families or parents who deserve it and may not be able to afford to use the centres whilst in court. This means all money raised will take the stress away from parents needing to worry about finding funds to see their children. It also allows them to maintain contact through the facilities which keeps the court process moving forward.
We know that each child custody case is so different and that’s why we’ll work alongside NACCC to ensure funds go the most deserving.
We are also working alongside Families Include Fathers. I have personally used their sevices and have found them very helpful going forward. Working alongside an organisation like FIF has been one of our main goals @ Dads reunited so we are happy to help as much as we can. Essentially they provide help and guidence to families at a fraction of the cost as expensive solicitors and barristers. The donations we make will be used on a case to case basis and will provide court fees, statements and any help thats needed to families who simply cannot afford to do so. We would like to thank Sarah for her on going help and support in many of our cases and anyone she helps in the future.
All information about what FIF do can be found here > https://familiesincludefathers.co.uk/about/
We would also like to thank every person who continues to support Dads Reunited and such an important cause. We hope to keep helping as many people as possible with regular events and fundraising.
The Next charity football match will be Dads Reunited Vs Stratford Town VETS held at Stratford Town FC football Club on Sunday 18th August, kicking off at 2pm. With a team full of ex professional footballers and Veterans.
We hope to see you there!
