Story

In April 2020 I have been chosen to take part in a once in a lifetime opportunity trip to Ghana with Staffordshire scouts alongside other explorers, Network Members and Leaders in the County. We will be out of the UK for 13 Nights leaving on the 4th April 2020. We will be staying in a place called Woe and throughout the two weeks will be taking part in a 'Teach & Build' theme and we will either teach local kids either maths or arts & crafts or help build schools for other children to begin their learning journey. In the next 2 years I will get tuition on these skills, so they are up to scratch by 2020. There will also be opportunities to take part in Sports teaching and we will be spending time in the evening meeting local children to socialise and understand their style of life

Whilst we are volunteering in the Country we will participate in an adventure weekend included in the trip as a break from the work which may be a trip to a monkey sanctuary and a stay up a mountain with a trip to one of Africa's highest waterfalls! We will also take a trip to the beach and local markets and experience an African Drumming lesson and a farewell Celebration.

To be part of this amazing opportunity I need to raise £2045. Therefore any donations would be gratefully received.

Yours In Scouting,

Harry Hanslow
