In 2016 Harry was born 12 weeks premature and admitted to the Neonatal Unit at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

Harry was cared for in the Neonatal Unit for 8 weeks, needing lots of wires, machines, medicine, blood transfusions and love and care from the amazing team and his family. This was a tough journey and an emotional rollercoster. Harry and his mummy and daddy couldnt have got through with out the amazing team on the ward.

During our stay we learnt that the staff work tirelessy raising funds for those extra little bits that make a huge difference to the families and children on the ward, it helps them to provide those little extras that the NHS cant pay for.

Fast foward a few years on and Harry is now fit, strong, caring and confident and before we knew it he was starting at his Preschool Playgroup, Early Years at Middleforth Playgroup, Penwortham. This is a fantastic Charity based, not for profit playgroup who Harry simply fell in love with from the moment he arrived.

However, this Playgroup also relys on donations to keep going, without them they will simply have no choice to close the doors. This playgroup has looked after many children for over 30 years and it would be such a shame if this vital part of our community didnt get the funding it needs in order to help all the children learn and grow.

With Covid preventing both Charities from doing there normal fundraising Harry has decided he wants to help.

Therefore Harry has set a challenge to Walk the 20 miles of the Ullswater Way in as little time as he can. He would love to do this to raise as many pennies to help both the Neonatal Unit in Blackpool and his Playgroup so that he can help all the other children and babies who become involved in both settings.

Anyone who knows Harry will understand the amazing little boy he is, loving, caring, confident, funny and biggest of all hes a hero, a hero for fighting all those weeks to grow big and strong and work towards the person he is today with the want to help others too!
