Harry’s Fight 💛

Our precious Harry is one of the bravest, strongest boys you could ever meet. He’s full of life, always active, joking around and making us smile.

Recently our world was turned completely upside down when Harry was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer that has already spread. Hearing those words is something no parent ever imagines they will face, not to mention Harry at just 13 years of age having to process that.

Harry is about to begin an incredibly intense course of treatment at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, which will involve many months of chemotherapy and long periods staying in hospital. Doctors have explained that his treatment will be very aggressive, meaning Harry will likely spend much of the next few months in hospital while he fights this disease.

Despite everything he is facing, Harry continues to show a level of courage and resilience that inspires everyone around him. Even on the hardest days, he still manages to smile, laugh, and remind us all what true strength looks like.

So many people have reached out asking if they can organise fundraising events for Harry, and after hearing from so many who want to help, we thought the best thing to do would be to create one page where anyone who wishes can link any fundraising events, ideas or support they would like to organise for him.

The main purpose of this page is to bring everyone together behind Harry. Any funds raised will simply help support him and help make this incredibly difficult fight as manageable and comfortable as possible for him along the way while also helping to cover additional expenses that arise alongside his treatment.

We also want to raise awareness of Ewing Sarcoma, as Harry’s symptoms were unfortunately overlooked for quite some time before his diagnosis. If sharing Harry’s story helps even one other family push for answers sooner, then something positive can come from this incredibly difficult time.

After talking with Harry, he has said he would like us to share and log parts of his journey and his battle along the way as it will encourage him to keep fighting so when we feel ready, we will also set up a page where we can share updates and document Harry’s journey throughout this fight. Harry is used to facing battles through football, boxing and sporting events, but we never imagined he would be facing a fight like this. Now he needs the biggest team behind him, cheering him on every step of the way.

The incredible support already shown to Harry means more than we can ever put into words. Knowing that so many people are behind him truly helps him fight harder. For us as parents, when we are sitting in hospital during the long days and nights, seeing the support and planning things in Harry’s name gives us something positive to focus on.

We know how loved Harry is by so many people. This page is simply a place where anyone who wishes to support him, organise an event, or follow his journey can come together as one team behind him.

Most of all, we ask that you keep Harry in your thoughts as he begins the biggest battle of his young life.

Our boy is strong.

Our boy is brave.

And we will fight this together — every step of the way.
