Story
Harry Sotnick House is a local authority nursing home in Fratton, Portsmouth that cares for up to 92 older people living with Dementia and other health needs.
We are always looking at ways to improve the environment within the home and we have recently renamed the wings of the home after local areas of interest, Fratton Park, Southsea, Gunwharf Quays and The Dockyard. Our next project is to create stimulating themed areas of interest on each of these wings that can be enjoyed by residents and their loved ones. It is our hope that these areas will engage with individual’s senses and enable residents to relive memories and reminisce.
I am currently in the process of arranging an 8 mile Christmas Sponsored Walk to raise money for the resident’s amenities fund to support with this project. The walk will take place on the 2nd December 2018 and will start and finish at the home, taking in all 4 of the area’s mentioned above en route.
Thank you from all staff, residents and family members for all for your support and every penny donated.
