On Friday 7th November 2025, every class in Harry Watts Academy will be taking part in a Bonfire Night themed Attention Autism session to raise money for new resources for this programme within school. The programme requires lots of visually pleasing and exciting resources, which, as our school gets bigger, we need more of to ensure every class can regularly access the programme.

Attention Autism is a programme designed by Gina Davis and is used in every class in Harry Watts Academy, some classes may call this “Bucket Time” or “What’s in the Box”. The programme is a four-stage approach aimed at improving attention, communication and shared enjoyment for our pupils through highly motivating and visually engaging activities. The approach focuses on making interactions irresistible to develop natural communication and to create exciting experiences that foster joint attention, shared enjoyment and an increased desire to communicate.
