Story

Harry’s story…

My little brother Harry - born on 11th June 2000 – at the age of 21 he set off backpacking for the first time in January 2022 and explored places such as Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Australia. After seeing so much and ticking things off his bucket list that some can only dream of, he came back home to the UK to start working and saving money to do it all again.

Harry had an insatiable wanderlust, a passion for exploration that knew no bounds. Whether it was the ancient ruins of Rome or the bustling streets of Phuket he embraced every opportunity to travel the world and soak in its diverse cultures. Through his adventures, he taught us the beauty of discovery, reminding us that life is meant to be lived to the fullest. In Harrys own words “Money returns – Time Doesn’t”

On the 11th January 2024 Harry sent off again for the 2nd time to go travelling, however no one knew that he wouldn’t make it home alive. After just 5 days into his back packing adventure Harry was involved in a tragic accident in Thailand and was left on life support machines with a bleed on the brain. Heartbreakingly he didn’t pull through and lost his life on the 17th January 2024.

At the time I write this 10 months on I am still dealing with the insurance and repatriation company due to technical language and absurd underwriting documents. The fight continues with them and I won’t let them get away with it

Remembering & Celebrating Harrys short but special life…

This is our first Christmas without Harry being physically here and the thought of it makes my stomach turn. It’s also coming up to a whole year without him. To mark this milestone I am honouring my brothers life and legacy by walking from Arsenal Football Stadium > Brighton Pier. The walking route is 100KM in total. The mission will start on Friday 10th January 2025 and complete on Sunday 12th January 2025.

There will be a 3 different charities / organisations that will receive a donation and benefit from the fundraising of this – They are ;

Jack The Lad Foundation - A Charity that campaigns and helps with safer holidays + travel abroad with young people from the UK.

The ADHD Foundation – UK’s leading neurodiversity charity, offering a strength-based, lifespan service for the 1 in 5 of us who live with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, DCD, Dyscalculia, OCD, Tourette’s Syndrome and more.

The Gully Woo Cup – Without Harry being here, his very own Sunday league team can’t run so I have set up annual Football tournament days that are solely put on in memory of Harry.
