We came back from a family wedding to find water had leaked in to our sons bedroom from the ceiling leaving a cracked ceiling. I subsequently informed the insurance company and they came to inspect and took pictures. But after careful consideration the damage did not fall under the category of storm damage. What he did notice was the work done by the previous roofer who repointed some tiles had only sealed it on the side I could see and not on the other ( non visible side ). He had also left one tile out of place aswell. Well that's just great I thought but that was just the start of the story. He mentioned that the flat roof was on it's "last legs". Now this was quite alarming as I had the top and bottom flat roof replaced several years back. So I showed the insurance assessor by bottom flat roof and he said that so much better. I asked him did they replace the top flat roof? He replied no they didn't. I was totally flabbergasted, I had paid two roofers in full and both had done half the job. How can you in clear conscious only do one part of the flat roof and look me in the eye and charge me for both. This has left me in such a state it's very hard to put into words. Now I am left in a position where the repairs need to be done and I have no means to pay for them to get done. If the previous two roofers had actually done the job I paid them to I would not have had the leak or have the problem I find myself in at the moment. The longer the repairs are not done the more damage and ultimately more expensive it will be to fix. I don't have the funds to pay for this as I am my wife's full time Carer. My credit rating is poor so I can't even borrow the money. Friends and family also can't help on this occasion. So that brings me here and that is my story. If any of you are in position to help it would be most appreciated. I am a proud and humble person and I have helped many people throughout my life. It is now my turn to ask for help.
